Not to toot my own horn or anything, but my post on GTA v Iron Man beat Variety to the punch. Take that mainstream media! Actually that article is really interesting about the effects of rising power video games and what that means for film.
It also brings up an interesting point regarding the continued growth of games despite recession in the States. I think that would be a really interesting study, and I may have to use my meagre economics knowledge to check that out.
The discussions in the article regarding the demographics of video games vs film is interesting as well. I find it interesting that the 18-24 male demographic is so minor yet so important, and that it can be effected by video games so much.
Anyway I'm not going anywhere with this, and I don't really have anything interesting to post right now. Just mainly wanted to point out how far ahead of the curve I am........
