Rumours do not equal news

So, I haven't writted anything in ages. Why? Well I'm pretty slack. But also there has been nothing happening. I swear other than some boring arse stories on a couple of new documentaries or some crap, the only thing that has happened is the New York Comic Convention. YAWN! (hmm, is yawn with an exclamation mark all sorts of ironic, or is that just me?)
I like comic book movies, but I don't care about tiny rubbish announcements regarding Iron Man appearing in The Incredible Hulk. Woop-di-freaking-doo. Fancy that! A cameo from a potential blockbuster, that exists in the same universe that may help to get some buts on seats for potential blockbuster.
It's like someone writing in a minor line for Aragon into The Hobbit. OK, that's a rubbish analogy, because Aragon probably wasn't born at the time, and if anything LOTR fans would be more pissed off than anything. They're a crazy bunch. But you get the picture. Involving a character of the same fictional universe into a movie is kinda cool but hardly worth writing home to the parents about.
Speaking of The Hobbit it looks like Guillermo Del Toro, of Pan's Labyrinth fame (a wicked movie by the way) may possibly be doing it. Again, that's not news. Hell, I may possibly be doing it too. When you get a definitive comfirmation of denial, that's when it's news. Otherwise its just pre-emptive bollocks. Don't get me wrong I'm think he probably will do The Hobbit and I think he'd do a good job (going solely off Pan's here I haven't seen Hellboy or any of his other stuff), I would just like some news about the story instead of rumour mongering in order to generate some hits.
Yeah I think that's all the bitter ranting I've got in me right now. When something actually news worthy regarding film happens I'll wite something.
In the mean time I've been thinking of starting a new blog, a bi-partisan International Politics blog, where I'll try to use some of my knowledge of IR theory to explain current happenings, and try to comment on current news across the world. At least that way it would need some constant updating....but as I said before I'm pretty damn lazy
